This is brutal on all levels. Imagine identifying as the protagonist. Imagine making this campaign, if you’re Apple.

Apple products were positioned as something visionaries would use to push the boundaries of human achievement. Think Different. Computing products for Einstein, Hitchcock, Picasso. That’s what made Apple an aspiration brand. This ad shows that now Apple enables a slob to send a simple business email that anyone with basic literacy should be able to write without AI. Apple is no longer for those who aspire to greatness. It’s now for those who are content with mediocrity. Jobs would have fired everybody involved.
I retweeted this then undid it because I don’t want this trash on my timeline. Pathetic.

Apple has been making some incredibly depressing ads lately...probably nothing.
