APPLEBAUM: Putin has grip on power unlike almost any other leader in the world. He controls enormous economic, political, social, propaganda levers. At the same time, it's important to remember that there's nothing more fragile than system in which there is no obvious successor. The funny thing about Putin is that not only do we not know who would replace him, we don't know how that person would be chosen. There's no Politburo, there's no Soviet Communist Party, there's no internal group that would choose the next leader. So, you have this weird, precarious situation where you have this strong system that, without him, would suddenly become very chaotic.

KABOOM!!!! And there it is… President Trump posted this video calling for the Smith–Mundt Act to be revoked replace it with “The Patriot Act” holding media accountable. I didn’t know what it would entail… but I knew something was coming. For now, it’s just a video, but we all know how devastating it would be for MSM if he got rid of the Smith–Mundt Act. Whatever is coming needs to be read inside and out.

But, Wilhelmine Germany eventually ran out of resources to continue the war, just as Tsarist Russia ran out of resources to continue in World War I. Of course, there are limits. Putin is also running out of resources. I think he probably has enough for another year or so.
