Apple's done a lot to bring back "classic Mac" stuff in recent versions ("hello" on setup, boot chime, etc.)... imagine if the redesign finally brings back the welcome videos!

Isn’t the “Hello” welcome screen functionally a modern equivalent? Old was “welcome”, now we have “hello”

I don't believe macOS said anything before, but I was meaning more that it uses the classic cursive "hello" from the Macintosh

A long shot, but I'd definitely welcome back a Welcome video.

I think the entire point of the videos was that it did things in the background, so the video was an elegant replacement to a generic loading indicator Macs have gotten fast and quiet enough to the point where such an experience doesn’t make it look fancier to new users

OS X Snow Leopard was my most favorite MacOS, I truly miss that welcome video when buying a new Mac, it truly felt very personal and special. Now everything has become too corporate and bland...

I think this would be an attempt to win back loyal Apple fans who have left due to poor or buggy code.
