Apples new generative on device AI model demo: #wwdc

Thanks for sharing. On device models are just coming into their own. Did they say much about computer vision or speech models ?

On device is the play 🚀 finally something that doesn't send my data across the planet? What's your guess for release timing?

Yikes… 😬 who approved that demo? Apple could have featured the tech differently for sure.

On-device AI is useful when it saves a round trip. The trap is pretending every hard task belongs on the phone.

I have to agree, that demo was useless. Though if the generative visual AI works well it is impressive they got it working locally. must be a very small model.
