This is retarded. I watched a 2001 Impala burn to the ground after some complete idiot thought it would be a great idea to spray WD-40 around the intake manifold to chase down a vacuum leak while it was running. That complete idiot was ME.

DO NOT DO THIS!!! More attention-seeking pseudo hacks from someone who doesn’t know shit about auto mechanics and maintenance.

Well done. You've just cleaned all the lubrication out of your locks. Expect them to be difficult to use very soon. WD is NOT a lubricant. It is an effective solvent degreaser. 😊

You are applying lubricant on plastic?

it will collect dust and dirt all over it

I can smell this video

Maybe test it on some dusty gravel road after you cover it with WD-40..............

Just buy some Gunk industry standard degreaser for at least 50 years

Don’t put WD-40 in locks WD stands for “water displacement” it is not oil and washes away oil and grease which will wear out the lock unless you add oil back after

Good way to start an engine fire!!

Do not ever do this under any circumstance.

WTF is this shit

Also a great Cologne and After shave

Also, to extend the life of your muffler and (very expensive!) catalytic converter, spray GENEROUS amounts of WD onto the ENTIRE exhaust system...beginning at the exhaust manifold. But it's very important that you do so ONLY after a long drive when all parts are EXTREMELY HOT!

it’ll become a dust magnet…a better choice would be silicone spray, not only will it protect plastic and rubber it’s non oily…

I fully expected the end showing a burnt down car, but I guess we didn't get to see that part. Not to mention that it degrades both rubber and plastic as well, so if you're lucky enough that it doesn't catch on fire, you'll have other problems down the line instead.

WD 40 is not a lubricant. WD stands for Water Displacement and 40 is for how many different times / trials before he got it right.

I would never do this. And, I am old and smart.

I can smell that car from here

Used it on our Paper shredder until I got flames 2 feet high and a small explosion. Note to self , buy the proper oil 😂😂

WHAT

Imagine the smell.

People do not do this.

A video showing how to waste WD40 by spraying it on things that shouldn't have it sprayed on.

What will happen it will catch fire 🔥....not a good idea.

Where can I get this miracle juice?

Then you will welcome the dust

Another solution to a problem that was solved 50 years ago... just so they can make a dumbass video

Try bacon grease next time...

You think he used enough? Might need another can.

I've been doing this to the engine forever. Engine compartment looks like new. Spray it on generously and leave it on. Repeat every few months. It's not going to catch on fire but you will smell it burning off hot parts for maybe a week then the smell goes away.

Great for the door hinges not so sure about the rest!

Just say it that you sell WD40 ,,
