I think it's damn solid. It's the same voice, just authentic now. It's a damn good take on Azaria, but of course people are going to bitch no matter what because "not my Simpsons", but those people are never happy, so to Hell with them.

The new VO sounds pretty damn good imo consider he’s taking over Hank Azaria. I’m glad he kept some of Apu’s OG vibes.

Why were Simpsons fans bothered by a white you voicing an Indian, but not a woman voicing a boy? Weird how “proper representation” only moves in one direction.

Yeah, they are not subtle about it at all. Blantantly acknowledging it doesn't automatically make it better, y'all chose to wait that long and do nothing with him. But it's still great to see a classic character return to the show after all this time.

I absolutely HATE change and grew accustomed to Hank Azaria's voice as Apu, but I won't lie, this new voice actor did an extremely good job so I'll probably grow to like them more in time - similar to the new Rick Sanchez VA in Rick and Morty.

Nobody took Apu for granted. Everyone knew he was a great character. The Simpsons ditched him because the show runners and the network were cowards.

New voice is noticeably different but not bad. It's nowhere near as horrendous as what King of the Hill did to Kahn. Now THAT was a fucking travesty

And now Hari Kondabolu and Hank Azaria can go voice Mr. Hankey in South Park since it fits them better
