Hello Thursday, thank you for the kind words. I’ve only had time to listen to five minutes or so so far – sorry, videos like this just take up too much time – but right out of the gate there are a couple of serious problems. First, I have never said, nor do I believe, that every single deportation should involve some drawn out process. That’s a straw man. I was commenting on the administration’s refusal to correct the mistake it admits it made in the Abrego Garcia case, and the contempt it has shown the courts. Second, I have never said, nor do I believe, that the “immigration crisis” is a “partisan interest.” That’s another straw man. That should have been obvious enough from the fact that I’ve devoted many posts here on Twitter, and an article at Public Discourse, to defending the Trump administration’s correction of Biden’s own lawless and partisan immigration policy. What I was referring to as “partisan” is the kneejerk tendency to defend every outrageous thing Trump does. In this case, it is pure partisanship to pretend that correcting the mistake with the Abrego Garcia case would somehow be a sellout to the left and undermine the entire project of reversing Biden’s policy. That’s just silly.

There's a few particular things that I don't think Feser sees clearly, surrounding the government, generally. The law, sovereignty, federalism... This is an excellent video Always makes one anxious to criticize someone like Feser, who is both cleverer and holier than we are.
