No. Humans do this kind of stuff all day every day. It’s actually rare to see this from animals.

Fun fact: we're animals too. Human exceptionalism has made us horrific stewards of the planet's inhabitants.
Oh sure just take a look at how much empathy a male lion has with cubs when it takes over a pride of females. Or how a killer whale has fun with still living seals by throwing their bodies several times about 80 feet into the air, so much empathy.
