Are belly bands worth it?

I made my sister throw away her belly band. Like you said they can be used safely if you add a kydex holster probably with an ulticlip but not ideal especially for concealment. I recommend all my ladies check out the PHLster enigma. Similar use as what a belly band is recommended for. Beltless carry yet with retention and trigger protection. It takes work and fine tuning but once you get it right it’s the best holster. I’ve been using it for over 4 years now. You can use it with skirts, leggings, jeans, sweats, some dresses. Can even wear it with overalls like in the photos I’ve included

Phlster enigma is the way to go

VNSH works pretty well for a belly band holster, it’s universal and has a retaining strap/snap. I think most people try to position them too low, which causes the issues you were talking about.

Crossbreed has a modular belly band that you can use with a kydex holster…still taking advantage of the “claw” or “wedge” that helps with concealment. Not as good as a belt, but it’s handy for athletic pants or shorts in the summer.

I have heard good things about the Phlster Enigma.

This is actually very strange. I had never seen a belly band without a firearm backstrap. Aside from that, the positioning of the firearm is easily configurable by simply rotating the band itself.

Some of us who play with kydex make an inner sleeve to glue into the band’s gun pocket which greatly improves most of these issues

Sticky holster inside the belly band. Keeps trigger covered, holds gun secure and doesn't move.

I keep a darenger in my prison wallet. Quick draws are rough but I'm not getting disarmed much

My wife really likes her Flashbang bra holster. There is basically no printing, and it's kydex so retention is great.

My solution to this problem is a Hunter Constantine belt that requires no belt loops. I use a Vedder kydex holster with it for my Bodyguard 2.0 CC. This is the first setup I’ve been able to comfortable run with in athletic shorts

Bell bands work for me for riding motorcycles. I want to go to a Miami classic but those are spendy

A soft velcro belt and standard owb leather holster works best. I have a soft back support belt I typically just stuff a shield in when I run but it's not something I'd use around town. Not secure enough, too flexi for secure hold.

What's the best holster to use for formal wear? Tucked in button up shirt.

Ill never understand how a guy could appendix carry. Been carrying for 20 years, just cant have a loaded gun pointing at johnson.

I tell anyone to check out @511Tactical 5.11's Cams Short Sleeve Baselayer over a belly band anyday. Put under a zip and you are good.

Absolutely! My wife's company Incognito Wear IX sells the Strix belly band holster that has magnetic retaniage and built in trigger guard Plus, a silhouette wedge that helps keep the gun from poking out. Also it's American made.

Philster Enigma works well for a few of my students.

I like the Blackhawk STASH NACHO. It's great when I'm wearing gym shorts or sweatpants. Just use my edc holster in the same position as I usally carry . Been using my for a couple years now with no problems

I dont like any of my holsters. Guess i have to keep buying them til one day i find one. Some seem great but they dont make one for my model. Others seem great in ads but are not. John. Please find out the best and post it. Thx. Rene
