Are the angels evil?

I don’t think Whis is evil. Whis has helped Goku and his friends several times. He even rewound time for them. He can tell the difference between good and evil. However, angels are neither good nor evil. Their personalities are shaped by influence of their God of Destruction

Yeah in OG DBS whish is and Beerus started to feel less threatning . I think in the remake they want to make it even more clear . That the devine beings aren't friends of the cast they merely entertain mortals for their own reasons.

Well we def thought back in the T.o.P arc the angels were lowkey evil plottin but i do like this new dark tone.

In the biblical sense the angels are stronger than the demons and more violent

When it comes to Angels, a lot of people think Angels for good or bad reasons strip themselves of emotions to rid themselves of desires in order to be pure. Which could twist their morality and purpose and be seen as evil when treating people cruelly for so little sin

But at this point it’s too late to assume the Angels are evil though. Even in the manga there was no sign of em being evil(at least from what I saw) I think this was a waste.

I can see why they're going for a darker tone. A lot of times with Dragon Ball the OG it was meant to be silly and Goofy with some serious cases of death. DBZ was just intense. But super took a different toll with everything at stake with destroyer gods. So yeah more serious
