Love the Roses, New Order/Joy Division, Buzzcocks. Oasis, Magazine are excellent too. The Smiths are the best though- No question about it

I love them but they’re nowhere near imo. One incredibly good album and one bang average album isn’t enough to make them the greatest. Very fine band though obviously, and their influence is immense.

Oasis are good but overrated.

Getting a response from Andy Burnham just before he became Prime Minister, about the La’s being underrated was pretty cool. He’s also a massive Stone Roses fan!
