listen, this neither the end of the world nor the reason you as another artist are not getting booked, and its especially not a reason to make some stupid generalizing tweet about women DJs because people overblow shit It is, however, disappointingly lazy and annoying to see

I’m not sure how someone can feel creatively fulfilled or satisfied doing something like this. Grinding away until you finally come up with something unique/authentic is one of the best feelings as a producer. That’s the creative addiction, to me at least 🤷‍♂️

hey dude i did use a few bass sample from the shadow pack that i purchased in its fullest integrity and this one is called “baddest” is there a rule that you can’t produce with samples? lol. those are my own drums, vocals, fx and entirely own track that i made over a year ago

it sounds like you started with the demo track project file and added on personally, it just feels weird given we've had quite literally this exact thing happen before

i think the sample pack is in turn a badders knockoff which kinda just makes it ever funnier

are we really surprised an artist with the name "Mary droppinz" was not releasing groundbreaking music that showcases unique advancements in the music production community?

stuff like this used to bother me and then i remembered that music is about art and creation.. not impressing every single twitter guy. lots of the biggest songs in the world contain unaltered samples. electronic music has a bit of a double standard when it comes to this

i think random people on twitter disliking it isn't the real marker here, its other producers. When your own peers also feel as if though its lazy/wrong it speaks volumes more than any criticism i'm levying. but to your point yes, there exists many of those 'double standards'
