Belgian Malinois aren’t “just dogs.” They’re high-drive working machines that need serious exercise, structure, and an experienced handler every single day. Most people aren’t ready for that level of commitment. Respect the breed or leave it to those who are.

Shawn Ryan did an interview with the man who when to Belgium back in 2000 to see if they were a good candidate for a warrior dog. Fascinating interview. We lost 2 I think going after S. Hussein’s sons. They saved many lives that day. I love how they get the respect they deserve!

We had a little Husky puppy walk up the frozen road early February and crossed the ditch and up the front steps. Our Collie had just passed 2 months prior. We talked and said no more dogs, we still had a little Mutt after my best friend passed. That little Husky is a handful.

I'm good with my German Shepherd. But the Malinois is an awesome dog, it just needs constant activity to keep that mind and energy occupied.
