For what it's worth, if this wan't a prank, his mother's reaction at the end is exactly the right thing to do when somebody has a schizophrenic episode. You need to enter the person's fantasy and work with them to deescalate their fears.

Hate to say it, but NOT FUNNY. If you consider the age of his Mom…and what her heart rate was likely doing (if she wasn’t in on it), this could turn real bad. A Mother who thinks her child is in serious peril, her body, physical, physiological, every system pumps adrenaline and the heart rate increases dramatically in order TO DEFEND OUR CHILD. If your Mom isn’t in great health, or happens to have an underlying medical issue you’re unaware of, this joke could be the last. Something to think about…
