The driver of the Climax Coaches bus involved in the road accident that claimed the life of former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo has been identified as Tirus Kamau Githinji, a long-serving driver with Climax Coaches who has worked for the company for about eight years. According to his account, the crash occurred early on December 13, 2025, around 3:00 a.m. on the Nairobi–Nakuru Highway at Karai, Naivasha. He was driving a bus carrying 65 passengers from Nairobi to Busia when a vehicle driven by Hon. Cyrus Jirongo entered the highway from a petrol station and collided head-on with his bus after failing to give way. Kamau said he tried to avoid the collision but believed swerving could have caused his bus to overturn and endanger all aboard, so he braked and absorbed the impact. He only learned that the other driver was Cyrus Jirongo after police arrived at the scene. He gave his side of the story and apologised. May Hon. Jirongo rest in peace.

That’s some cope. 😂 The truth: Matthew Young demanded to be let off at a stop that didn’t exist. When the bus driver refused, Young beat the elderly white driver unconscious causing the bus to crash into a utility pole. Passengers had to subdue young until police arrived. 16 people were taking to the hospital including a 10 year old boy. They are going to spin as much as they can. Don’t buy into any of it.

He has lost not only his dogs, but also his cats and his bus. Dan Bujor, 68, who shared his bus with four cats, two dogs, and two doves, was behind the wheel of a friend’s car with his two dogs leashed to the trunk when he was confronted by a group of angry animal lovers. Bujor said he borrowed his friend’s car to buy gas to keep his bus warm, but he did not want the dogs to make a mess inside the vehicle. The two dogs, Lutzy, a 4-year-old German Shepherd, and Mo, a 6-year-old pit bull mix, were taken to the E. 92nd St. ASPCA Animal Hospital and Adoption Center following his arrest. In addition, three of Bujor’s cats, Pio, Utzu, and Paris, went missing when his bus was towed. This is heartbreaking. It was discovered that the children were kidnapped and the children didn't even know each other. Only protests from colleagues & threatening to go on strike, stopped it. Another driver on Boxing Day was smashed in the face getting the bus when in uniform.
