(August 31, 2026) Chattanooga, Tennessee - Dashcam video shows trooper pull former UTC basketball player out of car by his hair Dash camera video from a police pursuit in Blytheville, Arkansas, is drawing attention after a state trooper pulled a former University of Tennessee at Chattanooga basketball player out of a vehicle by his dreadlocks. The video shows Blytheville police chasing an Infiniti on the night of August 19. An arrest report we obtained says police clocked the vehicle at 82 mph. After emergency lights were activated, the driver accelerated until he got up to 130 mph. One of the passengers in the SUV is listed on the Chattanooga Mocs basketball page as Tedrick Washington Jr., who played in 31 games for the Mocs last season. Authorities caught up to the SUV minutes later and arrested the driver. In another portion of the video, Arkansas State Police Trooper Teddy Henderson can be seen breaking a rear window of the vehicle before ordering 23-year-old Washington to crawl out. The report shows Washington told the trooper he could not get out of the car but also did not follow repeated commands to crawl through the opening. Full Article:
