Yes, large files such as games are expected to be downloaded occasionally and kept on the device for a longer time. This does not put as much strain on the read/write cycles of the SSD as repeated downloading of mods would.

The Art of Flight is a homage to 80s/90s arcade action shmups with a fresh twist on the genre. Pilot multiple ships at the same time to take on oncoming waves of enemies in this fast paced space shooter. Wishlist on Steam today!

You could always make the vanilla experience better and we wouldn’t need mods.

We continue to improve the vanilla experience while supporting our modding community. Our goal is to create a game that reflects our vision and empowers players to craft their own unique experiences on a platform designed for modding. In our sandbox, there’s the potential of something for everyone.

The were not designed as a PC, so you set the limit to 25. But in theory it could be set higher? To 50gb? That'd make the modding experience so much more fun. *would result in less downloads overall as we don't have to keep re-downloading the same mods between servers)

How is it even possible for people to complain. If you want mods, buy PC

Funny how other games have zero issues with downloads.

Mods are updated by modders often, sometimes multiple times a day, requiring frequent downloads. In contrast, games update less frequently due to platform submission processes, resulting in far less strain on SSD read/write cycles.

But it doesn't make logical sense. If I download 180 GB of mods once, I won't have to keep deleting and redownloading them. Constantly writing and deleting is more damaging to an SSD than a single download.
