On Monday, November 4, 2024, at approximately 6:23 p.m., police responded to reports of a male shot at a residence in the area of Paradise Valley Trail and Fairmont Ridge Trail. A 39-year-old was located and taken to a trauma centre with non-life-threatening injuries. Officers learned that a residence was broken into by two armed suspects. When a male not associated to the residence attended to assist the homeowners, he was confronted by the suspects who then shot him. The suspects fled the residence and were last seen getting into a pick-up truck that fled the scene. See below for more details:

Troops neutralise three suspected armed robbers in Kaduna By Zagazola Makama Troops of Operation Lafiyan Jama’a have neutralised three suspected armed robbers during an operation to recover weapons in Kaduna State. Intelligence sources told Zagazola Makama on Wednesday that the incident occurred at about 6:30 p.m. on Monday during a follow-up operation based on the confession of arrested suspects. According to the sources, the three suspects had earlier been arrested in connection with a series of armed robbery attacks and were assisting troops in investigations. During interrogation, the suspects reportedly confessed to possessing arms and ammunition hidden in a forested location and offered to lead troops to the hideout. The intrudes shot Jason’s son in the leg so he wrestled the gun from the intruders.. he then proceeded to shoot at one of them. They all fled the home, but Mr. Monroe stood on his porch, and fired three more shots at them, but not hitting them.. A trial judge found Mr. Monroe guilty of reckless discharge of a weapon. The Monroe family fought it all the way to the court of appeals which upheld the ruling citing that Mr. Monroe stood on his porch as they were fleeing, and continued to shoot at them . I disagree with the court’s decision, but I’d like to know what your thoughts are?
