🚨 President Trump defended the lack of an evacuation plan for thousands of Americans stranded across the Middle East after joint U.S.–Israeli strikes on Iran. He said “it happened very quickly,” claiming Iran was preparing to attack Israel and that the U.S. move was preemptive. He added he could “ask Marco,” referring to the Secretary of State, who has said the strikes were necessary because Israel was planning on attacking first anyway. Meanwhile, the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem says it is “not in a position” to evacuate Americans. Citizens are being told to leave via commercial options despite airport closures. Ambassador Mike Huckabee suggested traveling by bus to Egypt’s Taba crossing, without U.S. security guarantees. Embassies in Kuwait, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia have also closed.
