BYC condemns the use of force against the family members of Zaheer Baloch and other peaceful protesters in the strongest terms. Today, the 11-day sit-in protest by the families of forcibly disappeared Baloch individuals was attacked by the forces when they were marching towards the Red Zone. Elderly men, women, and children were subjected to brutal violence, including live firing. Dozens of protesters were taken into custody and shifted to unknown locations. For decades, the state institutions' response to peaceful demonstrations has been violence and intimidation. The forced disappearances and genocide of the Baloch people continue, and when the families and civil society protest, they are treated with cruelty, beaten, dragged, and imprisoned. After facing severe crackdown, the protesters have reorganized and continued their protest. We urge the Baloch and Pashtun people to join the protest as soon as possible and call on the judiciary to intervene in this matter to safeguard the right to peaceful assembly of these already victimized people.

Analyzing footage from D-Square in Islamabad in which individuals can be seen on top of a building, from where civilians said bullets were being fired to target civilians, Wajahat Khan says, from his experience, “these are army personnel. 100% they are army men. "RT has visited the ruins of a seaside resort in Russia’s Zaporozhye Region where a Ukrainian drone strike killed 12 people, including five children. At least six drones hit a hotel in the town of Kirilovka on the Azov Sea at around 1:30 AM on Saturday while dozens of vacationers were asleep. In addition to the deceased, nineteen people were injured, including several children. Footage from the scene shows shattered rooms, burned buildings, a large impact crater and drone debris. We suspected many of the killings may have been done by the miscreants from within who infiltrated the student movement. Here is an eyewitness account by a friend of one of the deceased students. “They were not regular students, their approach was different. They had their faces covered with T-shirts and this seemed very suspicious to me. Their approach was also quite aggressive………. He was shot from the back and the bullet exited from his chest. There were at least 150 people between the police and us. It was very unusual for the bullet to cross everyone and hit my friend. The bullet that hit him was metal bullet, the police was using rubber bullet till then.”
