The Central Government has authorised the Delhi Commissioner of Police to exercise preventive detention powers under the National Security Act (NSA), 1980. The authorisation, effective from July 19 to October 18, empowers the Delhi Police Commissioner, Anurag Kumar, to order preventive detention under the Act during this three-month period.
