This is peak damned if you do, damned if you don't. Dude shows up exactly where and when he's supposed to, follows instructions, and still gets locked up on a tether violation. The calm defendant vs. the escalating judge is wild sometimes the system feels like it has no off ramp once you're in it. Hope his lawyer gets this sorted quick.

Years ago, I got rail roaded like this and spent the Labor Day weekend in jail. Tuesday morning in court, the judge flipped out on the ADA, then apologized to me and dismissed the case. This was in Massachusetts.

From someone who did a bunch of stupid 💩 in my late teens early 20s and got arrested a handful of times this kind of thing happens all the time. I had two separate incidents one was an underage possession of alcohol and a simple possession of marijuana charge in the same county with the same court date in 2 Different Court rooms at the same time. My lawyer for the weed possession charge went into the courtroom while I was standing in the courtroom right beside that one and asked for a continuance and that judge was being a prick and she denied a continuance and I was arrested in the lobby of the courthouse for a show cause. I sat in jail for 5+ days (partly due to this happening on a Friday and the courts are not open on the weekends) for charges that none of which carried any jail time. The following Tuesday afternoon the arraignment judge was explained all of this by my lawyer and that judge literally said “what the hell is wrong with Judge Burks” and he dismissed/tossed out the show cause and the possession of marijuana charge because the judge agreed with my lawyer that multiple constitutional rights had been violated. And that I was being wrongfully imprisoned. I think overall our judicial system is probably the best in the world, but judges have far too much authority/power and there is no real recourse.

I’m actually going to trial this summer, I’m involved in a lawsuit with a county and the State of NY! I had a warrant put on me in NY while living here in Los Angeles back in 2017 found out about it recently, never called me and never told me.

They need to get areest numbers up, so at EOY add the total arrest, you saw the switching on arrests records 5 different nationalities & all white. Im looking forward to see the grand total of whites being arrested in 2026, Its going be a record breaking year the first time.

Unfortunately this isnt the entire video. The judge gets his lawyer and the DA in a conference call and by the end of the video the judge finds he was wrongly arrested and orders his immediate release.

Got arrested in NOLA w/no charges. Held for 36 hours. At arraignment there were no charges. Judge sent me to his chambers. There he allowed me to shower & sent my suit out for laundering. Fed me a meal offered attorneys name for lawsuit. I will never go to NOLA again!
