Art direction aside, this bit also has great, smooth animation, which helps sell the whole sequence. If it didn't have nice animation, it would look a lot more like pale imitation

Saying a statement like that really impacts a lot of really great 80’s anime because it’s not about just animation quality but you’re missing out on a lot of the great art direction you really wouldn’t get nowadays so it’s a huge discredit to the staff that has worked on these.

Would anyone like the idea of character menus looking like their banner reveal? Or maybe they could add an option to make them more dynamic. Personally, I think it would look really cool, but when you're checking stats, it might make things a bit harder to read, right? If the animation only plays for a moment and then becomes static, or if you can toggle it with a button, I think it would work really well. #Ntecreator #NTE
