Arthur (1996-2022)

How many times do you have to remind me, old man

This generation of kids dumb asf because they don’t have Arthur.

This had 26 year run? There was a universality to this show that I've yet to fully articulate. It felt deliberately ordinary yet capture some real life issues. It didn't feel overtly American.

One of the greatest cartoon theme songs of all time. Can't help but smile when I hear it.

One of the greatest opening themes of all time. Ziggy did his thing on this 🔥 🔥

TV cart rolls in and everyone knows it's Arthur.

Theme song still hits

As a kid I never could have guessed that Mr Ratburn was gay.

i never thought to ask what animal arthur was suppose to be apparently its this "aardvark

Fun fact: This intro was used in FU DW

What animal was Arthur again? A bear?

this was my show 💯

I haven’t seen or heard this in years brings back great memories

FU, DW!

my jam 💛

I loved that show when I was younger

The knitter episode is so out of pocket 😭

The show that arguably spawned the most insufferable brat ever to be put on TV. And her name is DW

26 years is a brutal run for a kids show. Did it just gradually lose the PBS funding momentum or did something specific kill it at the end?

ARTHUR WAS A TIME MAN. THIS NEW GENERATION DON’T UNDERSTAND.

🐐ed show!

Home of Dora Winifred... one of the worst brats in animation history!

I still want a pair of moon boots. How about you @2timintommygunn

You never cover Danny Phantom or All Grown Up. Lame.

@LesageChavannes I watch this show quite a lot on CBBC several years ago.

This show features Matt Damon as a special guest.

A product of pure anger and rage

I don't know if it's just the Mandela effect or not, but as someone who watched this show all the time as a kid, I could have sworn the lyrics were "If we could learn to LAUGH and play" instead of "WORK and play." Anybody else remember the lyrics differently?

And it's turning 30 this year!!!

Oh, yes. I remember this TV-series. One of the many I used to watch as a kid. It's so long ago.

💯
