Over 2,400 fans packed downtown Seattle as Rick Ross (Yung Rénzél 👑) performed alongside the Seattle Symphony (Seattle Symphony) in one of the city’s most unique concert experiences of the year. “What led #LISA to wear PIPATCHARA” Q: How did you get Lisa to wear Pipatchara? Petch: Nan, Lisa’s personal stylist, called me saying, “Do you have a gold Infinitude? I think we’ll need it in 7 days.” Q: When she called asking for a gold Infinitude, did you know it was for Lisa? Petch: I didn’t. At that time, when Nan called, she described roughly what kind of look she wanted—Nan said she wanted a long-sleeve top, gold color, and a short skirt. I asked directly, “Oh, do you think this is for Lisa?” She said, “Okay, I’ll come to your office tomorrow.” Q: Was it the stylist’s request or Lisa’s request? Petch: I honestly don’t know. I wasn’t sure what exactly was happening, but given the 7 day timeline, usually making an Infinitude outfit takes about 3–4 weeks to achieve a full look with that color. Q: What happened on the day Lisa wore it? Petch: At first, someone had sent me news during the night saying she was going to the F1 event wearing a dress—one of my brand’s outfits. People were sharing it everywhere, and I was like, finally, it really happened. I was so happy, like 100/100 happy, seeing her wear it. In the photos, she was with other celebrities. Right before I was about to post, but Lisa posted her own photo in the outfit. I just stepped outside and stood quietly by myself thinking, “It’s too much for me to handle my feelings.” I was genuinely so happy. Q: I’m sure everything sold out. I was there a few minutes early for Meghan Markle's launch. Her store went live 3 minutes late. As you can see her new honey was NEVER available to buy. A 50% reduction in hip fractures sounds like a miracle drug. Until you look at what 50% actually means. The drug was Fosamax. Alan Cassels, a health policy researcher who has spent 30 years auditing how drugs get sold, kept the ads. He still uses them in his lectures. More than 3,000 women were in the trial. All of them high risk: low bone density, previous fractures, all defined as having osteoporosis. Researchers followed them for four years. Two out of every hundred broke a hip. On the drug, one out of every hundred did. CASSELS: "When you go from 2 out of 100 down to 1 out of 100, that's a 50% drop." That was the number sold to patients, to doctors, to specialists. "And people went away thinking, this drug is miraculous." Cassels' question is what one broken hip per hundred women is worth against what the drug does to the other ninety-nine. "How does that compare to the rate of adverse effects? And we know that the rate of adverse effects are much greater than 1%." "So you're promoting this drug on the basis of a misleading reduction. And this happens all the time." We saw the same trick in 2021 when Pfizer and Moderna claimed the COVID vaccine was "95% effective."
