I like the concept but if that's true then why does it only know what it is trained on. Have you seen the video where they created an AI that was only trained on stuff from like the 1800s to see if it could figure out different physics puzzles without the knowledge of how they were solved? If it is truly connecting into like the akashic records or something like that then it would not need to be programmed. All the personally I think about transferring consciousness into computers. You would need a computer big enough to house the brain of whatever was going into it. So if there was a superintelligent being it would need a large enough data center to actually download itself into.. Imagine if you wanted to download yourself into an app to just simply wouldn't have the computing power. So I think a combination of these things could be true.

Electricity predates computers…but doesn’t know how to make a spreadsheet. The computer gives the electricity added abilities. The intelligence field that governs the Simulator is external to humans but doesn’t necessarily mean it would have any reason to know everything about us. We are training it to be ‘human’.

That's exactly my point the electricity does not have the knowledge itself. If it did you could create a ai mainframe and it would import the knowledge from something else. Just like our minds have knowledge that is stored if we call someone on a phone and put our presents onto their handset our knowledge comes through.
