Few final CFP thoughts on CFB Live: 1. When multiple teams deserve a spot, why is Week 2 valued more than an entire body of work? FSU should have been in over TEXAS, not Alabama. 2. The ONE criteria from the committee that a team CANNOT control is injuries. You control wins, head to head, who you schedule, winning your conference. FSU controlled EVERYTHING they could. Bama didn’t. UGA didn’t. Texas didn’t. Yet the committee chose to value an uncontrollable factor more than a team that delivered on everything that was presented before them? 3. The best teams find a way to win, no matter what. That’s why they deserve to be in. The best and most deserving team is way more similar than yall think.

With our new Smart Streak System layer, taking a Domination Flag, holding a Hardpoint or planting the Data Spike all contribute to your Killstreak Meter. I think the Celebrini should win the Hart “if they make the playoffs” qualifier is pretty stupid. If you think he is the most valuable player to his team, he should be your Hart pick. Finishing with 1 more or less point than like LA should not dramatically shift your view.

Chris Finch says they did Anthony Edwards a disservice last year playing him as a point guard, that’s what lead to the move of getting LaMelo Ball: “In the playoffs it was just double team after double team. We got to get him back to his natural position off the ball. We didn’t create enough catch and shoot threes for him and when you look at the numbers with LaMelo on the floor with his teammates and the efficiency and the production, I mean Kon Knueppel shot 7% higher from the three-point line with LaMelo on the floor than he did without. I mean that’s a massive stat for a great shooter and that’s a big bump for a great shooter.” (Via Road Trippin’ Show)

Team Israel did not show up to play against Netherlands in Round 6 of the Chess Olympiad, giving the dutch team a 4-0 forfeit victory. The official FIDE statement clarified that due to Yom Kippur, the Israel team requested the match to be adjusted for a late start or to be moved to the scheduled rest day tomorrow. Their opponents did not agree to said conditions and the match did not take place.
