On 20 Oct 2024, #SpearCorps, #IndianArmy, paid tribute to the valour & courage of Rifleman Neelam Tebi, a soldier of 5 Assam Rifles battalion and an unsung hero of the #1962IndoChinawar. Rifleman Neelam Tebi gallantly fought against 300 Chinese soldiers attacking his post at #Khinzamane, north of #Tawang, #ArunachalPradesh. Despite being severely wounded, he refused to be evacuated. Using just a bandage to stop the bleeding, he kept bringing down accurate fire on the enemy. On 20 Oct 1962, he succumbed to the grievous injuries, making the supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation. At his memorial, the family of the braveheart were accompanied by a large gathering of civil officials, students and locals, who paid rich tributes to the brave son of #ArunachalPradesh.
