As a black belt, this is how I prefer to roll, not driven by personal development or even the enjoyment of it. I roll because it is good in and of itself. I strive to give of myself generously and to take what comes my way openly, without apology.... Most of my time on the mat is spent guiding others, helping them navigate Jiu Jitsu. But when it’s my turn to roll, it becomes an experience that exists purely for its own sake. Jiu Jitsu is a ritual, not an outlet for pent-up emotions, nor is it a stage for personal theatrics. It transcends the release or display of personality. If anything, it functions as an escape from emotion and personality. Within this space of calm detachment, there emerges a kind of vision or fluency. This vision is the capacity to take the unpredictable and the unforeseen and seamlessly integrate it in a way that brings new meaning and value. Instead of feeling destabilized by the unexpected, allow it to deepen your perspective. The question is not how to avoid disruptions, but how to dance with them, absorb them, and become more adaptable through the encounter.show more

This is by far my favorite way to roll. I think it helps with learning to just go with the flow and stay relaxed. As I get older I think it helps let me body train way more often.

When I roll, I’m not trying to win as much as I’m trying not to get injured. My default mode is defensive driving. I’m trying to get to my destination without getting in a wreck on the way there. In this clip, I counter the waiter sweep early because I’m sensitive to my knee locking up. If my leg gets bent some type of way, my meniscus catches and locks up, so I react early. Not necessarily because I’m trying to stop the sweep, but because I’m protecting my body. That sensitivity actually becomes good defense. Keeping my leg straight stops the waiter sweep before it starts. I feel this way about MMA grappling. It’s more intuitive because the main priority is obvious: don’t get hit. That removes a lot of decision fatigue. In sport Jiu Jitsu, there can be too many options, too many techniques, and too much thinking. That’s one of the traps for Jiu Jitsu nerds. If you get too deep into the tech, you can end up frozen by choices. The other solution is to systematize everything, and that kills creativity. It's a lived orientation, a style of Being. It's about transformation that can’t be measured. You train because of intrinsic motivation. It’s how training never gets boring. Like all true art, it is practiced for its own sake, as a response to an inner call. More than anything, it gives perspective. Paired with philosophy, it becomes extremely potent. You train to participate, not to acquire. Rolling turns into serious play, offering opportunities to face yourself honestly. At times, Jiu Jitsu discloses your vitality, your capacity to move, create, endure. At other times, it confronts you with your mortality, your exhaustion, your limits, your finitude. Jiu Jitsu lifestyle means dwelling in the space where vitality and mortality, possibility and limit, freedom and constraint interact. “There are only two religions on earth” Interesting take.. In both scenarios the true essence of ascending from oneself or one’s life is through the process of becoming closer to that which is greater than self. Either by mirroring God through your life or by removing the ego in the present moment to shift your consciousness in such a way that you share the same space with the Creator. In both of these scenarios there starts with the belief or faith that there is a something greater than “I” or self. It is a way of being, a path taken. It is not “religion” or “books” that save us, these are only guides or guardrails. But it is within our own being the ability to ascend, or create that relationship. Not through good deeds and donating to charity or receipting every Bible verse, but an internal alignment of values, a perspective that seeks Truth, Life and wholeness in ALL things, not for profit or personal gain but because it IS the way of the universe. Humans have free will, the ability to choose, and it is this choice that gives us the power, the power to change or stay the same. It all starts within.

Mufti Saif al-'Asri on the fatwa by some Hanafis that allows interest (riba) based transactions in non-Muslim lands. People are using this opinion to claim that Muslims taking out interest-based mortgages is permissible. Question: Is it permissible to conduct interest (riba) based transactions in Western countries? Mufti Saif al-'Asri: This question is very important, especially if the intention of this Muslim, who lives in a Muslim country, is to introduce them to Islam and its way of life, and to be an exemplary person that people imitate. So, if when he comes to a non-Muslim country, he says: "There's an opinion that the Hanafis have which considers it permissible to conduct otherwise impermissible transactions in non-Muslim lands. So, it's permissible for me to sell pigs to them and it's permissible for me to engage in interest (riba) based transactions with them. Some Hanafis make the condition that he is the one receiving the interest and not giving it, meaning he's the one receiving the benefits (of the interest based transaction) and he's not benefiting the one he's conducting a transaction with, and so forth. This is an opinion, an opinion that exists. We can't wipe away this jurisprudential opinion. And it has its evidence. However, the vast majority of scholars, and it's even an opinion within the Hanafi school itself, are of the view that it is haram for a Muslim to conduct an impermissible transaction with a non-Muslim. It is not permissible for him (a Muslim) to conduct an interest based transaction with him (Non-Muslim), nor is it permissible to sell or buy alcohol from him, nor is it permissible to sell him pork, and so on and so forth. It allows you to proudly showcase the distinguishing features of Islam and take honor in the religion that you ascribe to. If God is not in control of this completely, then how and when will He get the knowledge and the power to get it under control? And I would ask you this: would you rather have a God trying to get control of evil, or a God completely in control of it? Take your choice. But the God of the Bible is in complete control of evil for His own purposes. It is really heresy to say that the world is full of evil apart from a predetermined plan and purpose by God that is far above the willy-nilly choices of people. So, what do we know up to now? Let me ask you a simple question to help you answer the question - the bigger question: is God more glorious because of sin existing or less glorious? Pretty easy question to answer, isn’t it? That really is the ultimate question. Throughout all the eons of eternity, will God receive more glory from His creatures because sin existed or less? And, friends, that’s really all that matters, is the eternal glory of God. So, it’s fourth down, and we’re on the ten-yard line, and I’m pulling out the winning play and we’re going for six for the victory. Turn to Romans 3 - and I want you to track with me a little bit; can’t take time to develop all of this, but I’m going to give you a good start. Wish I could build context; we don’t have time. But let’s look at chapter 3 and verse 5. Opening statement: “But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say?” Grab that phrase: our right - unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God. And Paul uses the first of a series of verbs; this one happens to be sunistēmi, translated demonstrates in the New American Standard. It is a verb that means to disclose, to reveal, to put on display, to show. Our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God. Another way to say that would be, would you really understand the righteousness of God if you didn’t understand unrighteousness? Isn’t there something to be gained by the contrast? Paul has been showing that God is faithful to His promises to Israel, and their sin and unbelief cannot alter God’s covenant, cannot alter God’s faithfulness.

Let me ask you a simple question to help you answer the question - the bigger question: is God more glorious because of sin existing or less glorious? Pretty easy question to answer, isn’t it? That really is the ultimate question. Throughout all the eons of eternity, will God receive more glory from His creatures because sin existed or less? And, friends, that’s really all that matters, is the eternal glory of God. So, it’s fourth down, and we’re on the ten-yard line, and I’m pulling out the winning play and we’re going for six for the victory. Turn to Romans 3 - and I want you to track with me a little bit; can’t take time to develop all of this, but I’m going to give you a good start. Wish I could build context; we don’t have time. But let’s look at chapter 3 and verse 5. Opening statement: “But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say?” Grab that phrase: our right - unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God. And Paul uses the first of a series of verbs; this one happens to be sunistēmi, translated demonstrates in the New American Standard. It is a verb that means to disclose, to reveal, to put on display, to show. Our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God. Another way to say that would be, would you really understand the righteousness of God if you didn’t understand unrighteousness? Isn’t there something to be gained by the contrast? Paul has been showing that God is faithful to His promises to Israel, and their sin and unbelief cannot alter God’s covenant, cannot alter God’s faithfulness.

Pragmata Review | No spoilers That is it for me. I played more than 30 hours of Pragmata and I am really happy that not only we finally got this game after so many delays and in a time where cancellations are common, but also that it turned out to be a very solid and enjoyable experience. Visually it is beautiful, and gameplay wise it works well for the length it has. It is not a long game, which I personally prefer, and I hope we see more titles like this instead of games trying to be longer just for the sake of it. I would not call it short like some people did, but I think it is exactly as long as it needs to be. Story wise, it is my favorite of the year so far. Seeing this kind of father and daughter dynamic again made me want to play more games with similar themes. I did almost everything in the game and I absolutely recommend it. If you are unsure about the length, maybe wait for a sale, but quality wise it deserves to be up there. I am not someone who rushes, so it took me longer because I admire the environments, take screenshots, record videos, and try to find collectibles without guides. For someone who just plays straight through, I think it would take around 12 to 15 hours, maybe a bit more or less. This is the kind of experience I want to see more often in the gaming space. I liked the combat and I think the enemy variety is fine for the length. If the game was longer without adding new enemy types, it would probably feel repetitive, but for what it is, it works. My biggest concern before playing was the combination of Hugh’s shooting and Diana’s hacking. If it was too complicated, it would be annoying, and if it was too simple, it would be boring. Thankfully, it ended up being exactly right. My only real complaint is that you need to return to the base to restock items, and when you die, the game sends you back there instead of placing you right before the area or at the last travel point you unlocked. It is not a huge issue, but it breaks the flow a bit. Diana is very cute and does her part extremely well, and Hugh is a character that is hard not to like. They both nail the dad simulator vibe. The voice acting is great, especially for Diana. Capcom delivered a unique and impressive new IP, which is always welcome in an industry where big publishers mostly rely on established franchises instead of taking risks. Whether we get more entries in the future is up to them, but it is also up to us to support games like this if we want more of them. On PC the game runs very well. The only thing that felt a bit underwhelming to me is the ray tracing when you use it on its own without path tracing. In some areas it does not add much, similar to what I noticed in Resident Evil Requiem. It makes me think it is either something with the RE Engine or simply that Capcom does not push ray tracing that far and focuses more on path tracing instead. Path tracing looks incredible, but of course it comes with a heavy performance cost. Something that impressed me throughout the entire playthrough is how consistent the game feels from start to finish. There is no point where it suddenly drops in quality or feels rushed. Every area has its own atmosphere, the pacing stays steady, and the game never tries to drag itself out longer than needed. It is rare to play something that stays this steady all the way through, and that alone made the whole experience even more enjoyable for me. I hope we get a DLC or a sequel one day, but even if this stays a one off, I am happy with what we got. Rating: 9/10

When I am at the gym and I see somebody’s water bottle there or a towel or something. I know they just stepped away for a moment and that the machine is occupied. Out of respect I won’t move it out of the way only for them to come back and have to explain themselves anyways. This young lady on the machine left her water bottle on it because she stepped away for a moment to use the restroom only for somebody else to come by and try to use it in her place. Would you have understood the etiquette or is it just a free for all? When I first started working out I was unfamiliar with the gym etiquette. Some people just got done with a hard set and need to stand up and walk for a few moneys or get a drink of water and they use it as their rest period so that they can go back at it. Interrupting that process is the same thing as booting them off the machine mid workout. It’s rude and uncalled for but why does it keep happening? I think what it is, is that some people are very judgmental, they see others and think that they are more serious about working out than the other person so that to them it means they are entitled to use it first because their workouts are more important. I used to let them do that to me but no more. I treat it as first come first serve, if they don’t want to wait then maybe they need to avoid the gym during peak hours. This is the very reason I work out in the middle of the night most of the time. I rather not be bothered and if I need to take my time I can, most of the time nobody else is even there anyways when I go.

You can hear it multiple times—it seems that he is letting out gas and potentially fecal matter as well during the speech. He then tries to kind of cover it up by making a noise as he appears to be relieving himself. This is the state of society today. A man thinks he has the right to access female-only spaces because his feelings were hurt by people not believing he is a woman. Is that not the object of the game? It is not a woman's burden that you have chosen to medicalise yourself, and it is not up to them to act as your human shield. Just stop. I had to edit out the ending of this video because a minor was on camera, and I do not allow that. I said: "I appreciate that, but women shouldn't have to feel uncomfortable for you to feel comfortable. I can’t say exactly how effective Bitcoin is as a money, but it’s being perceived by many as an alternative money and so is worth paying attention to. Money needs to be both a medium of exchange and a storehold of wealth — and the latter is more important. I doubt that any central bank will take it on as a reserve currency. That’s because all of the transactions are public, so there’s no privacy to it, and there’s a risk that in the future the code could be broken to make it less effective through government controls. My personal approach is that I do have some Bitcoin in my portfolio, but not much.
