As a graphics engine coder I think when you look at a flickering bug like this one in the video below it’s not immediately obvious what is going on. The key here is observation - to study this flickering/bugged render carefully - what do we see? Firstly for me... it was very obvious that nearly all of the scene shadows were flashing on and off - but (but!) there was a secondary issue where some buildings and parts of the sky were also flashing purple. Hmmmm. Interesting. I initially thought then this might be two separate bugs - but because the sky purple element could only based on full screen post fx and not 3D rendering I looked at this first with a few GPU captures to step through all our post processing to find the rendering stage which made these pixels turn purple: When I did this I found the colour 3D texture LUT grading that makes our different biomes have unique colour palettes was going very wrong - colours near 0 or 1 were wrapping and making the purple elements that we see in the said sky and base parts. The only way this could happen was if the texture was corrupt (which it was not) or if the 3D texture sampling was wrapping and not clamped as intended. That was the Eureka moment - because if the post fx had the wrong texture sampler then the disappearing shadows which also require an exact texture sampler for comparing depth might be also wrong because of the same kind of texture sampling issue! So with this idea that the engine was using the wrong texture samplers, but only in very high draw call scenes like the big base here I the looked at some engine limits and found the bug very quickly - a circular dx12 descriptor buffer for samplers running out over multiple frames, reusing the wrong data for new scenes inflight. Hence the flickering, as the GPU randomly got wrong samplers for some post textures or shadow depth. Easy to fix with triple limits for future expansion and also adding an assert/debug spam in case this limit is ever reached again - QA testers would see this message and report if they ever saw a flicker with this style of bug. My bug and my bad from 2017 porting NMS to DX12 without foreseeing how massively complex bases and our game would grow.show more

I recorded my active 3D glasses using my phone, and I was surprised to see the lenses flickering in the video. They don't appear to flicker like this while watching the movie, but the phone camera captures it because of how active 3D glasses work. You might not believe me but the 3D in this video was procedurally generated using Claude Code in blender. The main things I manually worked on were some texture changes as well as lighting and compositing/colorgrade in post later super cool that ai can help with stuff like this now, especially for a process that would usually take multiple days or even weeks if done traditionally Lmk if you'd want a guide on my process / how I did this

Dear Genshin Impact fans, In my nodkrai video I said that Natlan’s music was nice but felt shallow, my mistake in this was not elaborating on why. I said it in passing and didn’t consider the word choice. I’m gathering that people assumed I was referring to the PLACES being represented by the music Which is preposterous because I would never criticize a culture or place, as I’ve always felt that is genshin’s strongest element. I assumed you would know it was obvious I was talking about the musical composition and structure not what that music represented (the people and the places) I’m sorry if you felt that I was spitting in the face of your culture. As a multicultural person myself and soon to be married to a multicultural person as well, I would never ever do that. I am saddened that you may have felt that. I’ve had a ton of questions regarding today’s first inning in Kansas City regarding the Philadelphia Phillies at Kansas City Royals, and why all six runs were earned despite an error. The error by Turner is a throwing error, and while a good throw would have ended the inning, this is NOT an assumed out error because of the out at second base (this is where you don’t assume a double play). So, even without this error, all six runs would have scored, so the six earned runs against Christopher Sánchez is correct. The only negative I had is hopefully one which is an easy fix but it is a huge bug bearer of mine and I have no idea why it’s so bad here in the uk. The lack of screens. I genuinely could not see a screen clearly and we were in the main grandstand. I had no idea how my horse had gone down to the start and we had to try and watch it on our phones. Only as the horses entered the final 2 furlongs could you try to see where they were. Completely takes away from the excitement and viewing. If you’re going to attend to watch the sport then you should be able to do so, the screens in the majority of racecourses are a huge issue and made to look silly by international meeting. Similar at Cheltenham unfortunately

I was miraculously saved sometime in March 1997. That night, I was going home with my guardian from our shop in Ebute meta area. So we rushed to join a bus that looks like the driver has been working on. The engine was really hot and the driver stupidly put the remaining fuel in his keg on top of the engine. It’s all those 16 sitter bus and 7 lives was ended in the bad incident. We haven’t moved much when the bus caught fire 🔥. Everyone was rushing to get out and some got burnt as they never make it out and that includes my aunt, aunty mi Bisi! My aunt got burnt along with her little beautiful boy, papa! Whom she’s was carrying on her back. I was in the last seat in the back and the bus had all this burglary windows. The fire was becoming much, then one spirit told me to walk thru it. The sound was very clear in my head and that was how I made it out with some burns on my body but it wasn’t much like that. Please always trust your instincts. We all have our guardian angel that goes everywhere with us. They are those little words that speaks to only and directed to you in every situation and moment we find ourselves in !!! I’m still here because this was the hardest fan project we’ve faced in these six months. My patience and leadership were tested like never before to the point that I almost gave up in the middle of the preparation. And above all, trusting each other as admins that no matter what happens, we would not give up on this. But it wasn’t just about risks. It was about sacrifices the sleepless nights, the drained wallets, the heavy emotions, and the constant balancing act between work life and fandom life. It was about choosing to fight even when we were tired, choosing to stay even when walking away seemed easier. Every small victory mattered, and every breakdown taught us something new. Looking back at these six months, I realized it’s not only about the events, the projects, or the milestones. It’s about the people who stood by me when I thought I couldn’t go on. The people I met along the way who turned into a second family. The laughter in between the stress, the comfort in the middle of the tears, and the bonds that were built in both the best and worst days. On top of it all, I was carrying my own personal struggles, which made every step heavier. We took risks in almost every decision we made during this project. There were times when all we could say was, “Naniniwala kami sa Cheffies.” From tickets and props to the fan project and the fanzone everything was about risk and trust. Trusting the Cheffies that they would show up. Trusting the sponsors that they were only waiting for us to open our plan. Trusting Dustin and Bianca that they would see and hear our efforts. And above all, trusting each other as admins that no matter what happens, we would not give up on this. But it wasn’t just about risks. It was about sacrifices the sleepless nights, the drained wallets, the heavy emotions, and the constant balancing act between work life and fandom life. It was about choosing to fight even when we were tired, choosing to stay even when walking away seemed easier. Every small victory mattered, and every breakdown taught us something new. Looking back at these six months, I realized it’s not only about the events, the projects, or the milestones. It’s about the people who stood by me when I thought I couldn’t go on. The people I met along the way who turned into a second family. The laughter in between the stress, the comfort in the middle of the tears, and the bonds that were built in both the best and worst days. This is why, even when I wanted to let go so many times, I stayed. Because every hardship was matched with a reminder that I was not alone. Because this fandom has become more than just support for Dustin and Bianca it has become a home where friendships are nurtured, where trust is strengthened, and where love is felt. So this 6th monthsary is not just a celebration of Dustin and Bianca, though they remain the heart and reason for all of this. It is also a celebration of the Cheffies who never stopped believing, of the sponsors who trusted us, of the admins who fought side by side, and of the family we’ve built within Casa Dustbia. To Dustin Yu and Bianca De Vera, thank you for being the inspiration that started all of this. You may never fully know the weight of what we’ve gone through, but because of you, we learned to be braver, stronger, and more united. And to my Casa Dustbia family, thank you for reminding me that even in the hardest of our story, there is always something worth holding on to. Six months have passed, but this is just the beginning. More pages are waiting to be written with laughter, tears, risks, and victories. And as long as we continue to believe, to fight, and to love, we will keep turning those pahina together. It hurts to say this, but it’s the truth. I’m disappointed in the amount of issues I’ve had with my R1S. This is going to be a long post. I’m disappointed that an issue that was found AT DELIVERY (Feb 8th, 2024) is still not solved. I owe it to all of you, especially my followers, to be open and honest. No car is perfect, but at some point you have to stop with the “I’m going to be nice and keep giving you chance after chance.” I live about 90 miles away from my service center. So that is 180 miles round trip. I’ve had 8 service appointments with number 9 scheduled for this Monday! 9th appt is for the R1T front driver suspension sagging. Some of my issues were solved. But the major issue on my R1S is not resolved sadly. The issue is my passenger door. It’s badly out of alignment, makes lots of noise when driving and rattles. The door has been realigned 4x now, the hinges have been replaced and it’s still making the noise and rattling and not able to be aligned. Now, the door is worse than at delivery and is rubbing the fender when you open it. It has now pulled paint off the door. I was told, that “Other R1S are doing this and currently no fix that engineering will have to come up with some fix.” Video attached. My R1S & R1T are leased. Between my R1T and my R1S, I have driven roughly 1450 miles of my lease mileage limit in service appt trips. I think this is unacceptable for ANY Vehicle regardless of power train. The R1S has done about 1k miles of the 1450. What I would say going forward, if you are buying a Rivian product, DO NOT TAKE DELIVERY of the vehicle if there is anything wrong with it at all. Make them find you another VIN. I still support Rivian. They are dear to my heart. But enough is enough. With almost 200k worth of vehicles in my garage, this is NOT the experience anyone would expect. I have had my share of issues with my Tesla vehicles, but nothing to this scale where I have been to a service center this much so early in the ownership. I have begun background processing about the situation, and expressed our intention and what we want done. I want to make this clear as well: every time I go to service, they are super nice & friendly. I appreciate that so much but, at the end of the day, it can’t get my R1S fixed. I will still continue to support Rivian just like I do with all EVs. But this does make me question my R2 purchase when it comes time. As much as I don’t want to go back to an all Tesla household, it’s looking like that is what will happen. I strongly LOVE my R1S. It’s been one of my absolute favorites. Mine just isn’t built well at all and sours the entire experience. Maybe if the background process makes progress and they do the right thing, or replace the vehicle our perception can change. There are plenty of ppl out there without issue. So keep that in mind. I’m just not one of them unfortunately. I’ll do my best to keep this updated as things progress. I’m hoping Rivian just does the right thing.

I can see why The Rascal was so excited to get this week's giveaway announcement posted! In line with the current administration's policy of transparency, and the release of the "UFO" and "UAP" files, Rascal gave me a few vague pointers of where to look and that I might find something interesting. While he will not elaborate on the details I do have, in my possession, this very fascinating old file photograph of Rascal standing with the venerable SGM Mike Vining @ Blasting Through Official . Rascal will not say whether this has anything to do with aliens of the extra-terrestrial variety or what it is doing mixed in with all these other seemingly unrelated files. So much of my time here I have spend dreaming. Dreaming for the day that has now arrived. For years I spend my days grinding to fulfill a promise made by a 25 year old right after having the biggest night of his life. Midnight夏季Breeze sold out in 30 minutes. And for someone who had less then 5000$ in the bank, suddenly making 1.5 million dollars was kind of insane. Euphoric I said "v2 will come for those who hold a breeze" Little did I know how much that single promise would affect my life. I have spend majority of my late 20s painting this world. And been very critical of what this space is about. I wanted to be a voice you could rely on. Someone that shows up, is approachable, but also be the change I'd want to see. Everyday looked the same for me, make coffee, walk dog, turn on pc, paint until dinner, walk the dog again. I sometimes quite literally went insane. The pressure was high. I had to make this project real. And there was always so much to do. Art direct, animate, color grade , composite, 3d , sound effects , music, development, management like countless hats to wear all the time. The Vision however, called me. There was no way I was gonna give up, or quit. Though every vibre in me wanted to. My health , my personal life, they demanded it. But I did not stop. And that persistence has let to today. It has let to an industry that doesn't care. A timeline that can only talk about something if its $ related. And a world that is more chaotic then ever before. And amidst it all, I fulfilled my promise. Fragments of the Lonely Road is here. And I do not think you will ever understand what it means. But, I do know, that this art. This project. This vision. It has been worth it. So now, if you made it all the way down here. I want you to rally. I want you to make noise. I want you to share with the world what this is about.
