As per usual, the establishment fears losing its grip on power. The latest example is the Czech Republic 🇨🇿, where PM Andrej Babiš is currently forming his government. A crucial role in this process is the Minister of Foreign Affairs. No one is more fit to fulfil that role than Mr. Turek. But because he serves the interests of the people of the Czech Republic, the current president is being pressured to prevent that from happening. A smear campaign on social media has followed. It’s the same playbook we see time after time. I vouch for Filip Turek . The Czech Republic deserves a Minister of Foreign Affairs who puts the country on the map.

Last night President Petr Pavel invited me back to Reduta — a place that for me will always symbolize a country I’ve come to admire and cherish. 🎷🇨🇿

We held a friendly discussion with Donald Tusk, the Prime Minister of Poland, in Munich. We agreed that both Hungary and Poland must do everything possible to help achieve a Russian–Ukrainian peace agreement as soon as possible. We agreed that, immediately following the change of government, we will rebuild political, economic, and cultural relations between Hungary and Poland, and give new momentum to cooperation among the Visegrád Four countries. We also agreed that the protection of Europe’s external borders must be further strengthened. Both of us support improving Europe’s competitiveness and strengthening transatlantic relations. Following the elimination of corruption in our country, Poland will support the release of 8,000 billion forints in EU funds to which Hungary is entitled. I emphasized to the Polish Prime Minister that neither the TISZA party nor the majority of Hungarians supports Ukraine's accelerated EU accession. At the end of the meeting, I invited Donald Tusk to Budapest for the 70th anniversary of the 1956 Revolution, and we agreed that my first foreign trip after the swearing-in of the TISZA government will be to Warsaw. Long live the thousand-year-old Polish–Hungarian friendship!

We had made it clear that we no longer want assurances, we want concrete action. The government has given a positive response and shown in-principle agreement on two of our three demands: Rs 1 crore in compensation and protection from legal cases, including a sovereign guarantee that no FIRs will be registered and no legal action will be taken against protesters in the future. We also conveyed that protesters across more than 150-200 cities are united in demanding Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation or removal from the Cabinet. The government said the matter would be conveyed to the Prime Minister, and another meeting has been scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. We expect a concrete decision soon, failing which we will be compelled to give another national call."
