As if college wasn’t expensive enough, this young lady has turned a storage unit into a walk-in closet. When I was in college we would just switch out our clothes over Winter break.

All of those clothes are going to be ruined. Mold, mildew, rats...

When my wife went to Auburn, she lived in the a one bedroom efficiency cinderblock apartment and worked two jobs to go through college and earn the degree. Now, we have dingbat parents who give their kids the Waldorf Astoria plus a storage unit to live in torture while going to college. This child will not learn a thing at Auburn except her parents are a pair of suckers.

Not to mention that unit is not vacuum sealed. Those clothes are getting dirty.

That’s stupid. She’s not going there to get clothes ever. By week 3 she’ll realize it was a dumb idea.

IMO, kids need to learn how to budget, save, and struggle in order to become self sufficient and find joy in the small things. Hopefully, you dont become entitled & financially dependent.

Not safe for her to be changing in a storage unit either. No inside lock and this is just seriously bad parenting. No parent should encourage this, if your clothes cannot fit in your dorm or apartment when going to college and you need a walk in closet in a storage unit?

thats nuts & beyond self indulgent we had 3 drawers and a closet rod of maybe 3 feet w/a couple of hooks if the previous resident left them behind I didn't even have a door on it was a shower curtain - I took the crappy closet for the bed closest to the door roommate trade off

Haha, apparently these gals don’t have much time around self storage. Good luck with the rats/mice and if you don’t put those clothes in sealed bags they will smell too bad to wear.

This is ridiculous and I hope she prepared ahead for those little clothes moths.

I actually did this in college. I didn’t build nothing but I had a storage unit and I would go back and forth every season to switch out clothes and items. My parents paid for it and I’m so grateful for all the help I had from my parents and family members to afford things.

Better check shoes and handbags for rodent nests and poop. Do you not realize now small of an opening mice can squeeze in to?!

Nah, this ain't appealing. As someone whose family had to rent storage units in the past, due to multiple moves between houses & apartments, I'd rather save those $200. But walk-in closets are overrated.. used to have one when I was 12. I've concluded no one needs so much stuff.
