Jonathan Schanzer of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD) is frustrated that the rules-based order the US built after World War II (explicitly designed to prevent another catastrophic war) is restraining the US from inflicting catastrophic nuclear punishment on Iran, the way the US did to Japan. FDD is the Israel-aligned advocacy group that Joe Kent identified as having heavily lobbied the Trump administration to initiate war with Iran. Now, it appears they are lobbying for war crimes.
