🙏🏿 this is the stuff of beautiful dreams really🙏🏿 I first met MamLetta almost 30yrs ago officially at a dinner to launch a place they called “Back of the Moon” here in Jozi. All the legends were there, I mean all of them, and little me of course. I was always in rooms I was too small to be in but felt so at home there. I chased her down a passage and sang “Tristeza”, telling her it was my favourite of her songs. She was shocked that I not only knew her music, but that I know that song in particular. She has an astounding discography and her kindness and gentle mentorship have carried me through the 30 sum years I have been in this business. She influenced everyone. If you listen to the opening of Mamani you might hear what you would later hear in the voice of Busi Mhlongo. She is an integral part of the South African voice and technique. #LettaMbulu

Today is #WorldCancerDay and this is Liz, in a video recorded just days after she had been told she had Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumour. She knew her cancer had a five year survival rate of just 15% but as she made this video for her peers to support her application for head student she reassured them she would be fine. Liz died less than 10 months after this video was made, exactly 10 months after she was diagnosed. Aged 17. Liz was passionate about changing the world for others, in her life as you will hear in this video and in her death by donating her body to Glasgow University for research. Liz was amazing. She battled so hard but without a treatment that is effective against DSRCT she was fighting a battle she couldn’t win. Please help us change things for others. This InstaCart delivery driver woman rang the doorbell of the house where she had delivered the groceries to. She asked them if they could put extra money on her tip. 😳 Mind you, she was already receiving a $12 tip! If you notice, she left the groceries in the sun and not even in the saved part. 🤯 I would have went and changed the tip to zero after that. InstaCart, you need to do better with your drivers. Would you have given her more money if she rang your doorbell and asked for more? What would you have done?

This woman arrived well before closing, she was trying to pick out the perfect game for a gift. She made her choice just in time for closing and was already waiting in line. Relieved she was excited about getting the perfect gift. She was next in line at the register, right before she was able to be rung up, the cashier declared that the store was closed and refused to ring her out. Normally in most stores they finish the line and close the registers, but this guy was by himself and decided once the store was closed, he wasn’t going to help anyone else, if you were that woman what else could you do, would you leave and try to find another store that had what you needed or would you be persistent that they ring you out?
