SC again crossed boundaries by ordering EC to publish list of removed voters upon ADR's petition. "WE'RE NOT BOUND TO PUBLISH SEPARATE LISTS OR GIVE REASONS UNDER THE RULES"🔥 Political parties already given booth-level list of those with missing forms & no complaints received till date. MiLords must understand that if Judiciary is an Independent Institution, so is ECI. It's better if it stops interfering in other's jurisdiction.

The way the Election Commission of India spoke today, it seemed as if a gun was kept on their shoulder and answers were being asked by political parties. That was the wrong way of talking. CEC Gyanesh Gupta cited a Supreme Court judgement for not giving machine readable data but they did it to Anurag Thakur, otherwise he couldn’t have analysed 6 parliamentary constituencies so quickly. ECI didn’t answer why Anurag Thakur was not asked to sign an affidavit.

I was hoping that the Election Commission would give a point-by-point rebuttal to the proofs shown by Rahul Gandhi Ji in his press conference, but the manner in which the CEC spoke was as if he wanted to silence the opposition parties. Narendra Modi even changed the rule to remove the CJI from the committee that chooses the CEC and replaced him with his cabinet minister, making it 2:1 in his favour. BJP MP Anurag Thakur claimed that 4000 people from different religions are living in one house in Chounderikunnu, Wayanad. But this has been fact-checked — it’s the name of an area, not a house. So why is Election Commission of India not asking him to sign an affidavit or apologise?
