All the claims of so-called preparedness have been washed away with arrival of monsoon. Hyderabad is submerged, roads look like rivers, colonies like lakes. This is what happens when decades of BRS corruption are followed by another corrupt regime, the Congress, that promised change but failed to respond, failed to plan, and failed to protect. The people of Hyderabad are paying the price for their incompetence. GHMC, you still have time to act before this mess turns into a full-blown disaster.

Ndugu, STOP misleading Kenyans! The road criss-crosses Kitutu Chache North and South constituencies in Kisii County, and is 64.6 km. The project was initially awarded on 11th May, 2016, and works commenced on 5th August, 2016, after its launch by President Uhuru Kenyatta. But the contract was mutually terminated on 16th May, 2023, due to the contractor's non-performance. At the time of termination, the contractor had completed 27km, with 77 months having lapsed out of the 30-month contract period. The project was re-tendered and awarded on 14th March 2024, with works commencing on 22nd June 2024. President William Samoei Ruto, PhD officially relaunched the newly awarded road contract, fulfilling his pledge to complete all stalled road projects. The contract period for the works is 42 months and a further maintenance period of 36 months. FYI: A project launch is often just a ceremonial event, and it sometimes occurs after works have already begun, hence the phrase ‘OFFICIAL LAUNCH’. Don’t overly concern yourself with plaques. You should’ve gone to Kegogi-Sombogo-Marani-Ititi section where works are ongoing. Today’s photos of the ongoing works below:

We at USV are humbled to be participating in Suno's Series D round of financing. The last two decades of the internet have proven, more than any other period in history, that people are inherently creative. As smartphones democratized most creative mediums, many of us began posting our thoughts, photos, videos, and podcasts, too. Platforms like TikTok and YouTube became giant platforms, creating marketplace dynamics between creators and consumers. The one medium that took some extra time was music. Even with smartphones, making music was still very hard. While platforms like Spotify, SoundCloud, and Bandcamp made it easier to distribute music, they didn't make it easier to actually create it. Until AI, and more specifically, Suno. /1

MORAL COWARDICE: Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine (R) has vetoed a bill that would have banned child s*x change surgeries and barred trans athletes from girls sports. Recently, when asked about the factors that would influence his decision, he said: “My decision will be based on one thing…what I think is in the best interests of the children who would be impacted by this law." So, DeWine believes that the “best interests” of the children of Ohio are served by the irreversible effects of genital mutilations and cross-s*x hormones, along with males in female locker rooms and males competing female sports. This is repugnant moral cowardice. With “Republicans” like this, there’s no need for Democrats.

A Ukrainian agent promised the children money in exchange for climbing high-rise buildings and taking photos of the city, which was used by Ukraine to plan an attack on the Urals. They are looking at 5yrs. Since they are younger than 16, there's uncertainty with how they will be prosecuted under treason, while others argue they were oblivious. The Russian Ministry will probably change the case to terrorism which would lower the age for prosecution.

BMW M5, E28. The first M5. Hand-assembled by BMW Motorsport in Garching, not built like a normal 5 Series. Powered by a 3.5L straight-six derived from the BMW M1’s engine. 282 hp and 5-speed manual only. At the time, it was faster than many sports cars like Ferrari 328. And it didn’t even look the part with subtle M badges on the exterior. From the outside, it could pass as a normal 5 Series. That’s what made it different and it was the beginning of a new segment of sleeper super saloons. Nothing really competed with it at the time. Everything that came after followed this.
