SAG-AFTRA president Sean Astin told Jo Ling Kent that he is “tried of being overwhelmed” and feeling out of control when it comes to how AI technology could be used in Hollywood. Astin said the use of AI in Hollywood feels like a tsunami — but he added that he wants to put his union, which represents around 160,000 performers in the U.S., in the best position possible, when it negotiates a new contract next year.
