It is a social statement and, yes, it is an act of domination. Anybody who understands Islamism understands that the domination of public spaces is part of the modus operandi. OAU transport system was near perfect, adequate buses and bikes, we rarely experienced queues until the First Lady came and decided she didn’t like the ease of transportation and introduced “change” by donating CNG buses. The school management in turn banned all motorcycles and commercial buses on campus and subjected over 30,000 students to just about 50 buses and a few tricycles. OAU has one of the largest land masses of any Nigerian university, yet students are now stranded daily. This is a Monday morning where students are supposed to rush for class, but they are stuck at the campus gate because of the inefficiency of the CNG buses. Students are struggling to go to class in the morning and in the evenings to even get back to their hostels. Students staying off campus now spend almost double to get to campus, all alternative transport means have been removed The management have cars to bypass all of this, but majority of students do not. Yet they released statements talking about how the buses will “ease transportation” and even implied students appreciate the system. Meanwhile, students are trekking, missing classes, and spending hours in queues. Let it be clear that students do not appreciate this system. It has made our lives harder, not better. What used to be a smooth system has now become a daily struggle. There are many pressing issues in this school, but they chose to dismantle a working transport system and replace it with hardship. Obviously this guy is just grasping at straws in a feeble attempt to defend #AI (as if he cares about people), but it does remind me of something important… Me and every director I knew made every effort possible to get to know our outsourcing studio animators (they were people… humans… artists… not an algorithm). I would say stuff like, “This scene’s got a fire monster… I’ll bet you have someone there who loves drawing fire, right?” and I’d hear them laugh and say (through the translator) “We’ve got three… we’ll let them fight over it!” They weren’t faceless drones… they were part of the team to me. Moreover, I was taught that the best way to ensure that they weren’t overworked was by making sure that everything we ever sent was clear, detailed and easy to understand. There were lots of “They’ll fix it in Korea” directors. We referred to them as “hacks.” And we shunned them. Because we cared.

Now that Trump has been exposed as a total sellout who never intended to do anything with his power except enrich himself, the political establishment is working overtime to funnel people back into the duopoly. The establishment is counting on the public to have amnesia and overlook how their corruption paved the way for a conman like Trump to rise to power in the first place. There is something worse than Trump’s two presidencies, and that is learning nothing from them and allowing both parties to return us to the failed status quo, which will only lead to an even worse Trump in the future. I’m going to do my best in this post to remind you how we got here and, more importantly, where we go from here. So how did we get here? The capitalist duopoly. The problem is not Republicans or Democrats. The problem is Republicans and Democrats. Both parties have spent decades using our government to enrich themselves and their corporate donors at our expense. They turned the US government into a money laundering organization for corporate America, the military-industrial complex, Israel, and the billionaire class. There is not a single thing our government does well for the people because its entire purpose is to serve the rich. Now here’s the part MAGA does not want to hear, but it is the truth: Trump was never the solution to any of this. His form of populism has always been fake & leaned on nationalist rhetoric to appeal to white working class voters without any substantive policies to improve life for anyone outside the richest 1%. Trump knew the system was corrupt and that people were struggling, but he never intended to actually do anything about it. Instead he took advantage of people who rightly lost faith in a system that only serves the elite by selling them the exact same corrupt system, only he covered it in bright red MAGA paint. Now here’s the part Blue MAGA does not want to hear, but it’s the truth: The Democrats are not the solution to any of this either. Things didn’t get better under Biden because Democrats serve the same corrupt capitalist and imperialist system that Republicans do. Biden funding a genocide and betraying railroad workers should have made this clear. Democrats certainly love to use nicer rhetoric than Republicans, but this is only to deceive the public from the party’s true purpose, which is to serve capital and betray workers. So where does that leave us? What is the solution when both parties are this corrupt and exist to serve the rich, not the people? The solution is we desperately need a new system that puts people over profits. And since the elites who control both parties will never let us vote for that system, we’re going to have to rise up together and fight for it!

$Posting this as a Tesla FSD public service and the outside chance Tesla see’s this. Yesterday FSD nearly drove into the concrete jersey barrier on hwy 17 as I was traveling to Santa Cruz California. I intervened a fraction of a second before impact. This video doesn’t show the event but does show the conditions a few minutes later when I thought to honk the horn to save a clip. I have used FSD for years and this was the most epic fail. Note that there is little margin for error. I am on hw3 and have NOT received 14 lite Tesla AI Elon Musk Please tag the appropriate team if you can.$

This was ruled a single and an error, but Stott has the ball, sets, throws, and shorts it to first, and if the throw is there Jordan Walker is out. There is just no way this stays as a single. This is very much (IMHO) an ordinary effort play here by Bryson Stott. This will get changed to an error, I'm certain of it. #STLCards #RingTheBell
