I hope people do not believe the narrative. It rained a lot yes, but they opened the dam preemptively accounting for the rain fall but never actually received enough rain to justify opening the dam. Duke Energy opened floodgates on the Cowans Ford Dam in North Carolina, It rose 40 feet in 4 hrs for this reason. Please do your research. Purposefully done.

You are correct.

40 feet in four hours is due to either a dam break or a dam opened 🤬. 🤯😎

A giant 🖕to all of those who downplayed and continue to downplay the devastation of western NC

I'm with you.

Don’t forget to thank DUKE energy for opening the Flood gates of the Dam at precisely the right time !!!

I hate to be the words of cold reason but people are gonna get lost in this mess. Do you have any idea of the area of the disaster? It's almost 650,000 square miles. What's the staff of FEMA? 22,991 people for ALL of FEMA. And people out there expecting to get saved instantly. With the roads destroyed and a lot of structures destroyed or destabilized or buried under the rubble or swept away bodies might be all over the place.

Only this morning did I receive news that our friends we have been trying to find are safe… after actively searching for information about them daily and not being able to get to their home. They lived through hell, but are ok. Lost everything. You’re right. We haven’t heard the stories of the survivors in the worst ravaged areas… they’re just now becoming able to communicate.

No evacuation notice? No sirens? Kinda like Lahaina, huh?

The mud floods worked for them before, they are working again. Who owns the dams they opened up? Who owns the mines they are eminent domaining for? What are you going to do about it? The governor says some places shouldn’t be built back.
