The majority of Israeli fighters are motivated, yes, but most of them do not have a military mindset or the same level of willingness to sacrifice their lives. Some of them do, of course, but remember the majority of the Israel military consists of normal citizens who are required by law to join, not people who would necessarily feel called to duty otherwise. So how does that relate to nuclear weapons? Using just a small nuclear weapon in Gaza would likely make everyone there rush to evacuate which is what Israel truly wants.
