Jerusalem is just magical. It is just unimaginable to think that if Israel ceased to be a Jewish state (as many people seem to want currently) access to some people would be prohibited.

Today is the 81st anniversary of the start of the Warsaw Uprising. 250 000 Poles were killed in the uprising against the Germans. The population fell from 1M to 5000. 90% of the city’s buildings were razed to the ground. The question whether to rebuild Poland’s capital city wasn’t immediately settled after the war. The authorities considered a plan to leave Warsaw in ruins as a “memorial city” and a testimony of Germany’s brutality during WW2, while moving the capital to another Polish city or even building a completely new capital city. In the end, Warsaw was rebuilt and is today a more developed and richer city than it ever was. Many consider it to be one of Europe’s best city’s to live in. 🇵🇱

T 5160 - The day of birth .. and another day in its knowing that the celebration at that time was different to the time now .. and the most revered gift that comes to me is from the City of Wroclaw , Poland .. The City of Wroclaw, Poland as you all may know gave me the Ambassador declaration of the City during my last visit there .. it is the City of Literature also and they have placed a molding of Babuji on their main Square .. it is also the City of Elfs and they honoured Babuji with this statue .. they have also named a Square-Street after Babuji, the Harivansh Rai Bachchan street square .. AND .. As a gift from the City they have sent me for this day a most loving generous and overwhelming gift .. Young musicians play the violin as a respect to Babuji 's Madhushala the tune in which he sang it .. at all the prominent locations of the City .. it is a most humbling and overwhelming gesture .. and words fail me in expressing my emotion at this point ..

A capital city is one thing that either brings pride or shame to a people. This is in the heart of Harare, and it shows the economic degradation of our country. I do not know how my fellow Zimbabweans feel watching sadza being cooked in the middle of the capital city like this, at a place where real and structured economic life used to be vibrant and thriving. This is what one of the once beautiful and industrialised African capital cities has been reduced to. And this is happening barely a kilometre from the president’s office and less than 500 metres from the mayor’s office. A capital city should reflect order, productivity, and dignity. Instead, what we are witnessing is the visible collapse of urban management and the slow decay of a city that once stood as a symbol of possibility all because of failed economic policies. This should bring shame to every right thinking Zimbabwean, regardless of political persuasion. This man, and many like him, are victims of a failed system. A society that cannot create opportunities for its people pushes them into this kind of undignified survival mode. What we are witnessing in this video is not individual failure, but the real human cost of economic collapse and broken governance.

On the last day of our pilgrimage in the Holy Land, praying with Patriarch Theophilos III and Archbishop Hosam in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre was the most profound gift. Jerusalem is the city from which the Gospel first went out into the world, and to which our Lord will one day return. The Churches of this holy city are custodians of a living Christian presence in the very place where the foundations of our faith were laid. My prayer is that, by God’s grace, we may continue to grow together into that unity for which Christ prayed. That we may bear witness together to the hope of the Gospel. And that we may offer to this city, to the Holy Land, and to the world, a foretaste of the peace of God’s coming Kingdom. Please pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and for the Christians of the Holy Land.
