A Ukrainian drone crashed in the Kastre Rural Municipality of southeastern Estonia as they were flying to attack Russia's Ust-Luga Port. Locals reported the sound of a drone over their houses, before explosions. Additionally, during the night, air alerts were issued for Parnu in western Estonia, around 180 km from the Russian border. Ukrainian drones have now crashed in NATO territory during 4 out of the 5 Ukrainian attacks on Russia's Baltic Sea Ports. Thanks to this, we are able to procure anti-ballistic missiles that are in short supply. This is especially important now, as Russia is counting on brutal ballistic strikes to enable it to continue the war. We are also preparing a Drone Deal with Germany and working to establish a joint European anti-ballistic system. I am grateful to Germany, and personally to Bundeskanzler Friedrich Merz Friedrich Merz, for the support and for the steps being taken toward European anti-ballistic defense. This is the only way to guarantee reliable protection of lives across Europe from missile threats.

This capability might explain the drone sightings reported from the sea. These sightings are likely tied to classified U.S. Navy drone testing, which explains the federal government’s silence on the matter. If these drones are not the PteroDynamics X-P4, they are likely similar unmanned aerial systems being evaluated by the U.S. military. That's the most logical explanation for why the federal government is allowing these operations to happen. The small landing is literally demolished by powerful explosions, and the hits are very accurate. After this strike, with the help of a drone adjustment, a Russian assault group went to assault the landing site. They were supported from above by a drone that dropped grenades. And even in such difficult conditions and after such strikes, a group of Ukrainian soldiers survived. And they, all shell-shocked, did not run away or surrender. CIWS systems can do very little against them Drone swarms represent such a serious threat to warships that there are very few effective defense options once they are launched. For example, a modern Phalanx CIWS in its latest block carries about 1,500 rounds. A short burst against incoming drones typically consumes 150–200 rounds. This means each CIWS has enough ammunition for roughly 6–8 drones, if everything goes perfectly and no additional bursts are needed. There is no time to reload a second time before the drones begin hitting the ship. We are facing swarms of 100–200 drones or even more, equipped with tandem warheads and highly advanced evasive maneuvering capabilities in Ukraine. This is why the key lies in preventing the fleet from being located in the first place, through the use of drone patrols, drone EW, and even building smaller aircraft carriers dedicated specifically to this purpose.
