🚨🇺🇸🇮🇱 High-stakes chicken in the Persian Gulf is pushing the region closer to a dangerous red line. Political analyst Trita Parsi warns that the U.S. strategy of tightening blockades is continually backfiring, driving Iran to counter-escalate rather than back down. While Trump is privately demanding an immediate deal, Israel’s ongoing presence in Lebanon remains a massive sabotage risk that could dismantle months of delicate diplomacy. Trita Parsi

🚨 🇮🇷 WAR AS SANCTIONS RELIEF Expert writer Trita Parsi points out a paradox: the war has actually provided Iran with de facto sanctions relief. Iran is exporting more oil at nearly triple the pre-war price due to the conflict, according to Parsi. Trita argues that because of this, Iran will view significant, formal sanctions relief as a non-negotiable term for peace. Trita Parsi

🇺🇸🇮🇷 The clock is ticking fast on the highly anticipated U.S.-Iran truce, as a narrow geopolitical window threatens to slam shut. Political analyst Trita Parsi warns that if these delicate negotiations drag on too close to the midterms, the political landscape will completely shift under Trump's feet. Tehran has very real, legitimate anxieties about Washington's ability to actually deliver reliable sanctions relief given past broken promises. Ultimately, regional mediators are growing incredibly frustrated because time is officially running out for both sides to sign on the dotted line. Trita Parsi

“He made his threats earlier today to give the appearance that an agreement he would come to...was done on his terms”. Political analyst Trita Parsi says Trump accepted a ceasefire with Iran, having “no good options,” as a wider US-Israel war could “destroy his presidency”.

🇺🇸🇮🇷 Trita Parsi believes the current U.S.-Iran exchanges aren’t another round of the war yet. They are preparation for one. “A lot of the things that we’re seeing right now is, frankly, testing new weapons, new system preparedness.” His concern is that both sides may now prefer different timelines for the same escalation: Washington after the U.S. midterms, Tehran before them, potentially through a preemptive move designed to deny America the initiative. Parsi sees little evidence either side is building an exit ramp. They may instead be positioning themselves to decide who fires first. Trita Parsi

🚨🇮🇱 🇮🇷 Israel may be using unchecked AI to pick targets in Iran, leading to the bombing of civilian parks based on nothing but a name. Trita Parsi reveals that a park called "Park Police" in Tehran was struck likely because an algorithm flagged the word "police" without any human oversight. Trita warns that this recklessness is causing a massive buildup of societal pain that will boil over once the war ends. Trita Parsi
