Canadian businesses already benefit from preferential access to 1.5 billion consumers worldwide, and we are working to double that reach in the next six months through new trade agreements. By diversifying our trading relationships and creating new opportunities for Canadian businesses and workers, we are setting our own course to build Canada Strong.

For generations, Canada and the United States have built one of the most successful and integrated trading relationships in the world. Tariffs threaten Canadian jobs, but they also disrupt American supply chains and ultimately mean higher costs for U.S. consumers. Canada must stand firm, protect our workers and businesses, and keep fighting for a fair-trade relationship that works for both countries.
