Bert wasn’t just a dog, he was a symbol of joy, resilience, and love. I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our dear friend Sandy Gall, a distinguished British journalist, author, and steadfast friend of Afghanistan. He was not only a close friend of the late Commander Ahmad Shah Massoud and his family, but also the author of Commander Massoud’s biography, drawn from the Commander’s own diaries and personal accounts. His work preserved the legacy of Afghanistan’s National Hero for the world to witness. Ahmad Massoud and I had the honor of meeting him for the last time this past February in Kent. It was a profoundly emotional encounter, filled with reflection, warmth, and shared memories. We did not know then that it would be our final meeting. His wisdom, kindness, and unwavering support for the people of Afghanistan left a lasting impression on both of us. We are privileged to have called him and his family our dear friends. On behalf of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan and its leader Ahmad Massoud, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the Gall family. Ben Sasse is dying of cancer, yet he’s taking the time to share the gospel with as many people as possible. He says Jesus did everything on the cross to fulfill the whole law and He took away all of our sins. We’re not just justified, we’re actually being made intrinsically righteous. You can’t see it yet, but it will be accomplished. We’re saved on a cross tree outside Jerusalem and we are being saved and we will be saved completely. We are an Adam, a member of this rebellious race. Imago Dei—we were created glorious in Gods image and meant for fellowship with Him and yet we are part of this rebel clan. But that’s not the end of the story… The end of the story is the new Adam came down from Heaven, laid down all His prerogatives and swept us up. That is a man who is facing death with courage because he knows Jesus. Not because he is counting on his own righteousness, list of good deeds, or record of public service, or considering “Wow, I accomplished a lot in life. Look at me. I was a senator.” But because he knows his Savior. That’s the only place any of us can have confidence. He is showing the world how to die well and that takes a lot of bravery.

Today, we were honored to welcome U.S. Army Sergeant Matthew Krumwiede home to his mortgage-free, specially adapted smart home in Idaho. On this day 13 years ago, while leading a patrol in Kandahar, Afghanistan, Matthew stepped on an IED — an explosion that changed his life in an instant. He lost both legs above the knee and sustained serious injuries to his left arm, hand, and abdomen. Thanks to the quick actions of his team and medics, Matthew survived and began the long road to recovery. With grit, resilience, and the support of his loved ones, Matthew learned to walk and run again. Since retiring from the Army in 2015, he’s continued to live life on his own terms — from working on a ranch and driving trucks, to volunteering in his community and advocating for other wounded veterans through extreme adaptive sports. Today, we’re proud to give back to this remarkable hero. This specially adapted smart home will give Matthew the freedom and independence he deserves, and we can’t wait to see what he does next. Message from #LAKA ~ The Soul Of Elisha Elisha is a biblical figure who I personally wanted to know more about. He's one of the few people other than Jesus described performing miracles, including resurrecting the dead. He was the disciple and successor of Elijah. From Pleiadian contact we know that Elijah wasn't a human, but a visiting Pleiadian named SHEKWAH. It's remarkable to me that Elisha was a human who was taught by a Pleiadian, who eventually witnessed his Pleiadian teacher leave on a craft. Man, this one's gonna be a tough one. Losing a friend and our adopted Bosnian cuts deep. I met Paul in 2019. when we worked on a broadcast project together, unpacking forgotten war crimes in Sarajevo and Bijeljina. This is for you, Paul! | paullowe We lost more than a photographer when #PaulLowe passed away. We lost a witness to our history, a storyteller who showed the world the truths that many wished to ignore. His lens captured more than the horrors of war; it captured the resilience, the survival, the humanity of #Sarajevo at its darkest moment. Paul wasn’t just any outsider. He became one of us, a Bosnian in spirit, returning to live in Sarajevo with his Bosnian wife he met during war. He chose to make this city, scarred but beautiful, his home. In a way, his life mirrored his photography; an intimate connection to our brokenness, but yet utter fucking resilience. His work during the siege was not just about documenting violence. It was about remembering – reminding us that the shattered buildings and the jagged remains of barricades held stories, stories we should never forget. Paul understood that the “textures of destruction,” as he called them, were not just remnants of the past, but warnings and lessons for the future. He spent six months after the war capturing the ruins, not as mere structures, but as symbols of what had been lost and what we must fight to preserve – our history, our humanity. Through his eyes, even devastation carried a haunting, “terrifying beauty,” a strange aesthetic that was both painful and necessary to see. For those of us who knew him, Paul wasn’t just a great artist. He was a kind soul, a man who cared deeply for the people and the stories he photographed. He was someone who became one with his subject, whose empathy was as powerful as his talent. In losing Paul, we’ve lost a piece of Sarajevo’s heart.
