This morning, I had the pleasure of welcoming the Chief Executive Officer of MTN Uganda , Ms. Sylvia Mulinge, who paid me a courtesy visit at the Ministry, accompanied by Mr. Joseph Bogela. I commended Ms. Sylvia Mulinge M.B.S for her outstanding leadership, which has strengthened MTN Uganda’s position as the country’s largest telecommunications company and largest taxpayers. I also expressed my appreciation to MTN for expanding its network coverage to rural communities across Uganda, thereby enhancing connectivity and promoting inclusive development. During our meeting, Ms. Mulinge reaffirmed MTN Uganda’s commitment to supporting the growth of Uganda’s economy through the provision of reliable internet services, mobile money solutions, and quality voice communication across the country.

I commend Director CID AIGP Tom Magambo Rwabudongo and Director Operations Uganda Police force for the promptly arresting the perpetrator. No child deserves such brutality! Thank you, UNICEF Uganda Country Director , for bringing this to my attention.
