In Spain you pay for your own translator

@RupertLowe10 so Brits living in Benidorm should speak Spanish? Or English should speak Welsh in Wales?

If they want to speak in their native language, I suggest they go back to their native countries.

Definitely agree with Rupert Lowe - if you feel more comfortable speaking in your native language that is fine - bring a translator with you.

Yeah, just like if you break your leg whilst three sheets to the wind in Benidorm, you should be expected to speak fluent Spanish before receiving treatment #PoliticsLive

We spent £100M on interpreters last year. Shocking, wasteful and rising weekly with increased illegal invaders. Enoughs, enough.

If you move to another country with a different language then learn it. If you can't be bothered, that's your affair. But we shouldn't be wasting money on translators for lazy people. It's a waste of time and money.

My mum was in hospital earlier this year next to a Kurdish woman. The doctor came to give her the diagnosis and she had no clue what he was saying. They had to wait half an hour for an interpreter. Utterly ridiculous. Slows everything down and costs a fortune.

I like to see him talk Spanish, French or German if he takes ill whilst on holiday in those countries.

If you wish to use British Services like the NHS then you should speak English and English only. If you can't speak English and you live here you need to learn. This is not complicated.
