Ashab al-Yamin claimed that Appelmansstraat, a central street in Antwerp known for its diamond district, was a target of its attack due to the street's connection with the local Jewish community. The group's messaging casts the attack as part of a broader, escalating campaign tied to the "liberation of Palestine" and retaliation for Palestinians, Lebanese, and other Muslims. --- The video appears to be authentic but it shows some signs of amateur production. Following the blast at a Christian center in the Netherlands earlier today, the Iran-linked front group Ashab al-Yamin issued a statement warning people to avoid American and Zionist interests. The group said that two Netherlands-based institutions - the Israel Products Center and Christians for Israel - promote Christian Zionism and support Israel economically through the sale of Israeli goods. The message accuses these institutions of providing financial and moral backing to Israel. On Thursday, the Iran-linked front group Ashab al-Yamin claimed responsibility for directing two drones at the Israeli embassy in London (Israel in the UK 🇮🇱🤝🇬🇧). The group claimed the drones had "carcinogenic" and "radioactive materials." Reuters and other media reported today that police are investigating an incident near the Israeli embassy. Yesterday, I posted a video of Ashab al-Yamin claiming it targeted the embassy. I isolated the voices in the video it published and picked up additional details that may have been hard to notice (transcribed in the video). One of the suspects in the video speaks in English with a British accent. Also, the Arabic said in the video has an Iraqi accent (H/T to my colleague Ahmad Sharawi for picking that up). The spoken Arabic is also a common saying among Shia Muslims. Some of the video was recorded off a computer monitor. A folder showing .docx and .mp4 files appears in the video for a split second. Some of the files appear to be in English and Arabic. I was able to crop the image of the folder from the video. It is difficult to say if the suspects behind the alleged incident deliberately left this evidence in the video. Nevertheless, it is information that is worth looking into if Ashab al-Yamin's claim is authentic.
