Ash's Gengar was an absolute beast in it's first official Battle #anipoke

plot armour be plot armouring if this was any of gengar’s other fights, he wouldn’t have turned intangible to miss the tail, and psychic would have either missed or not been strong enough to subdue volt tackle where the fuck was this energy for the rest of the series gengar?!

And then I Hated how the Anime Staff treated him by doing him dirty throughout the middle of Journeys for Gengar's battles until the end where Gengar gets redeemed when he gains GMAX & becomes an honorary Fire type of Ash's Pokemon with its newly taught Will-O-Wisp attack

And to think sons prick released him because it wasn’t “strong enough”.

This wasn’t a battle, it was an execution.

He had to show off what he can do after being abandoned for so long

In all honestly they could have made this a 3 v 3 so we could get Dragonite in the battle as well, but this battle is still very good

Gengar would’ve been a beast if it had its mega stone lmao

I also really like this battle
