I didn't think it could get worse, but it did. What exactly is Sid "fixing"? Sid Mahant is a "Republican" running for State House 40 but he wants to lower the minimum requirement to get an Indiana CDL and donates to Democrats. Also, Sid wearing an American Flag pin while speaking in Punjabi is complete disrespect. The American flag isn’t a campaign prop.

I met Dale Weiner when he was an Asst. 35 plus years ago, and I knew then he was a Star. It was inspirational seeing him Last night! Kudos to Sid Edwards Mayor-President for transporting him with help from his aides. Congratulations Coach and to my cousin Greg Brandao the former Headmaster at Catholic of BR I know is proud.

Often, I debate Sid Meier's masterpiece: Pirates, Civilization, Colonization, Railroad Tycoon... or Alpha Centauri. All are great, but Alpha Centauri wins it for me. Alpha Centauri (1999), by Sid Meier's Firaxis, is a groundbreaking 4X strategy masterpiece and Civilization's spiritual successor. Players lead one of seven ideological factions that crash-land on Planet Chiron orbiting Alpha Centauri, clashing for resources amid hostile alien life like mind worms (yuck...). Gameplay refines Civilization II with social engineering, deep tech trees, customizable units, espionage, and dynamic terraforming - victory is possible via conquest, economics, or transcendence. Hailed for its philosophical narrative and addictive "one more turn" loop, it earned PC Gamer's 98%, a record to this day. WOW! Republicans repealed mandatory country-of-origin labeling for beef in 2015. Now Texas Ag Commissioner Sid Miller is panicking because Trump is flooding the market with foreign beef and ranchers are getting destroyed. Texas is America’s #1 cattle state. We had the label; Republicans got rid of it. They’ve pretended to care about American farmers for years and still do after this destruction. The gaslighting never stops. They create the problem, blame everyone else, then act like saviors while only putting a Band-Aid on it. It is funny how these kinds of women play the victim card. This Bigg Boss fame model and actress, Himanshi Khurana, was dating Asim Riaz. Now she is saying “My ex-boyfriend, Asim Riaz, was forcing me to convert to Islam. I was even stopped from doing puja-paath. When I reached the Kinnaur Kailash temple, I cried. I cried so much.” Women like Himanshi Khurana are the real enemies of Hinduism, not her ex, Asim Riaz. She is spreading the narrative that Asim tried to convert her when they were dating. What does that even mean? Women who date non-Hindu men are not Hindus anymore, they should not even be entering our temples. He literally asked Trump’s people to wait until after the election to send ICE and the National Guard. That’s not leadership — that’s self-preservation. You can’t claim to serve the people while coordinating with the same folks who’ve targeted our communities. The federal government has already dropped into Black neighborhoods across this country with Black Hawk helicopters — and this man is suggesting bringing that to Baton Rouge. It doesn’t matter what he says in a press release now — he already told the people in power exactly what he meant. The TRIVE Tax election is November 15th, and early voting starts November 1st. It’s time to run up the score. In light of all the coaching changes happening in Baton Rouge this week — Southern and LSU are both looking for new coaches — it might be time for us as citizens to start thinking about changing out the Coach in City Hall too, because being mayor isn’t his thing.

The C64 sound chip SID (Sound Interface Device) is an absolute stroke of genius. The guy behind it is Robert Yannes. Here is a quote for his motivation when he designed the chip in 1982: "I thought the sound chips on the market, including those in the Atari computers, were primitive and obviously had been designed by people who knew nothing about music". That last part hits pretty hard, lol. The rest is history. If you need convincing, just listen to this epic intro music for Arkanoid from Martin Galway. That tune is 40 years old and easily stands the test of time. C64 was such a glorious computer.

I went through a list of games he was credited for, not just by name (his name power alone sold later games he had little active involvement with). It's an open-world, open-ended game, quite novel for its time. You choose loyalty to one of four nations (Kingdom of England, Dutch Republic, French Colonial Empire, or Spanish Empire) - changeable throughout the game, or go full rogue as a pirate! You battle other ships, duel captains mano a mano, invade towns, hunt treasure, and trade. My fondest memory: a gigantic map my brother and I drew, pinning roughly 20 A4 (letter) papers for a detailed coastline overview. Stuff like Aave, Pendle, Hyperliquid, Maple itself, and a bunch of others... The pathological bear'ism affecting markets right now is 100% misaligned with the above reality, and I think this discorrelation will violently correct sometime this year (most likely once rates get dropped following Warsh replacing Powell in May).
